Why is it that your makeup decides to run out at the same time? So frustrating, you think that you fine and have plenty of product left only to go use it and find its run out. If you read my post a few weeks ago you might remember thats how I ended up with a Miss Sporty concealer thanks to Benefit Brow Zings running out on me. So yep you guess it; thats how I ended up trying out the Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow.

The Maybelline Eye Studio Master Shape Brow comes in two shades, Dark Blonde and Soft Brown. I honestly wouldn't bother with the Dark Blonde, it didn't actually show up when I tried it at all. The pencils are a soft wax formula so that might play a part in the softness, but I was still expecting a bit of colour! The Soft Brown is exactly that, a light brown and amazingly this matches my natural brow colour to a tee. Like I mentioned this a soft wax with what is described as subtle colour pigments, and a brow brush on the other end.

Lets start with the positives with this, the brush is actually quite good and firm enough to tame those wild hairs, and then once the pencil is applied it is a very natural look. There do seem to be more negatives with this pencil than positives, which is a shame as I really don't want to be negative. Obviously this is only my opinion based on how I like my brows, but I prefer mine more defined and this pencil just doesn't quite deliver. The wax is so soft I really struggle to build up any colour, and plus as a result the pencil is running down very quickly so I can't see this lasting long at all. Just have a look at my attempts below...I'll be honest and say I didn't bother swatching this as you literally can't see any form of colour when I drew a line, and I am guessing you don't just want to see a photo of my hand.

I think if your not a brow gal and just want something to tidy and neaten them up with, then this will be the product for you. Plus for only £2.99 its not going to cause to much of a dent in your purse. However, if you like more defined and a deeper colour brow I would just be a bit wary of this pencil as you may be left a tad disappointed with the result.
