ART DECO are a brand I wasn't, and still not to be honest, that aware of but after they popped up in my local Debenhams I was intrigued. A makeup brand I hadn't used? Well that just had to change. After some deep intensive research (Google and Wikipedia) I found that ART DECO is used on the sets of Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing on Ice to name a few.
I have only had this a few weeks but can't seem to now find any trace of them selling in stores, but I definitely purchased mine in person...you can still make a purchase through good old Debenhams though. I wasn't particularly after any particular makeup item, but when are we ever? But the Camouflage Stick really caught my eye. I have seen various different offerings from different brands, often in the form of a green stick, and this is not far from that but I feel that this waterproof stick does claim to do a bit more with offering to cover imperfections, such as under-eye circles, redness, scars and skin impurities. Yep, I had to purchase.
The packaging isn't exciting, I won't lie. Black plastic is a bit meh, I guess its practical, but I don't like practical, I want sparkles, shine and glitter all while remaining elegant and classy, of course! But I'm not overly fussed, I would much rather the product be fantastic!
The ARTDECO Camouflage Stick comes out less green than traditional camouflage products with yellow tones nearer to your own skin colour. The tip of this is great as it is fine enough to obtain precise corrections but wide enough to get good product coverage where it is needed. I just apply to the parts and areas of my face that need to be covered and distribute and blend in with my fingers after moisturiser but before foundation. I was very nicely surprised to find that this work perfectly, it does exactly what it claims, it covers up my red fine veins that I have on my cheeks and covers up my lovely spot scars too. Plus it even helped cover my dark circles under my eyes. Hallelujah! This is perfect for all your face as it is really soft and creamy to apply, it does look a tad cakey but once I had applied my usual concealer and foundation you couldn't even tell I was wearing it. Extra bonus point too for ART DECO as this lasted all day, and it is a waterproof product. Not that I want to find that out.
