Now I'm not going to lie and say I brought this as I was given it by a makeup artist at work, very random but I didn't complain. I've read a few reviews on this as it appear in a (not sure which month) Birchbox. This is actually my first ever fibre mascara, so I didn't know what to expect, and I don't really know what they are supposed to be like? I normally avoid lengthening mascaras like the plague as I just don't get on with them, I like volume, and lots of it. This ModelCo one however does claim to 'amplify your own lashes' leaving 'voluptuous clump-free lashes'.
The packaging is pretty clever as contains a mirror, which could be handy if you like to do your mascara on the go...but then I realised once you look in the mirror you can barely see your reflection, it is like one of those toy plastic mirrors you have when you a child. Very strange. The wand is what I would consider a classic wand shape, nothing fancy or unusual going on, and even though I'm not to sure if you can see but the fibres are sticking out slightly, designed to stick to your lashes and extend their length.
The formula of this mascara is so incredibly thin and dry it barely wipes off the brush, let alone on to my lashes! I seriously struggled with this mascara and was left disappointed as it just doesn't do what it claims. I had to apply multiple coats to get any sort of mascara action, and as you can see in the photos I was still length with my little blonde lashes creeping through! One positive is that is was extremely easy to remove, but I'm guessing that may be due to the fact I barely had any mascara actually on my eyelashes...
