Hey beauties, yep, another magazine freebie. Magazine freebies have seriously upped their game recently. Bumble and Bumble are a brand I have been dying to try out but I have never got round to parting my money with them. Luckily this months Elle sorted me out and supplied a sample of the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray, claiming to protect from heat, add volume, and give lift and control when applied to wet or damp hair.
Bumble and Bumble do actually have mini bottles available for purchase, which obviously I would just find out now. My hair is in serious need of anything claiming to thicken, and I get through cans of Elnett hairspray as my hair doesn't even stay in place when I'm just lounging round at home, so a product that could fix both would be ideal.
I applied this throughout damp hair before styling all through my roots, which in my opinion is totally wrong for a hairspray. Don't you apply hairspray after styling? But I did what I was told...I just styled my hair as usual but didn't use any other styling products just so I could just how much this product works. It was quite hard to distribute evenly and didn't really spray, more of a dribble over my hands and onto my hair, and once my hair was dried I think my hair had more volume but nothing really noticeable if I'm honest and I'm not sure it was worth the hassle as it didn't give any more volume or thickness than my normal mousse. I really did want to like but maybe I just had super high expectations of Bumble and Bumble?
One positive though, it does smell divine - fresh, floral and summery. Easily one of the best haircare product for smell but I think I'll be using it more as a room spray....
