If there ever was a underrated brand it would have to be Laura Mercier. I do of course add to this, I'll forever sing their praises but I am yet to review anything from them. And it seems to the majority of people agree, they either just haven't tried Laura Mericer or love it.
So where better place to start with my first Laura Mercier review than my absolute favourite product by them. The Creme Smooth Foundation. This glass jar foundation has despite the price (£41.50...gulp) become one of my favourite foundations of all time. Think Estee Lauder Double Wear without the cakey-ness.
At a first glance it seems very Maybelline Dream Matte mousse-esque when you open it, and you could probably turn it upside down without spilling. But at that price I am not trying it. Luckily you don't in fact need much of the product, and considering I like a high coverage I don't use much at all. This is true to its name though and applies just like a creme would. Even gliding over my dry patches without a issue. And its 100% build able, so the pros just keep growing.
What amazes me with the Creme Smooth is the excellent coverage yet it is stupidly lightweight. It honestly feels like I am wearing no makeup (mascara excluded), even a BB cream feels heavier than this. God knows how Laura Mercier have done it, but for once, I am almost speechless, and over a foundation. So yes, while this won't be a budget buy, it is one you so won't regret.
